Our Last Sunday

Yesterday was our last Sunday in our church ward. I'm so sad to be leaving because it was our very first ward as a married couple, and everyone in it is just so fantastic! We move this Thursday, and as excited as I am to be in Nashville for a short time, I'm so sad to be leaving our "firsts" behind. We are moving out of our very first apartment together and it's crazy to remember all of the memories that happened here.

My sweet young women at church are just adorable. They got me flowers (they're pink because I'm having a girl) and gave me the sweetest card! In the opening prayer, one of the young women said, "please bless that Kyla will be safe in Tennessee and that we won't miss her too much." I almost just started bawling right then and there. They are the cutest girls and I'm going to miss them so much!

I absolutely love how great each of them are and how comfortable they are with themselves. They're so forward and I love it! Last week, one of my young women said, "are you pregnant?" I told her I was and she said, "I figured because I didn't think that you were fat." I died laughing because they're just so great. I'm going to miss all of them.

Pregnancy

I haven't been the best at documenting my pregnancy, but I'm hoping to get better for the second half. I felt pretty sick over the first trimester. I was just nauseous ALL THE TIME and wanted to sleep constantly, and the second trimester has treated me MUCH better. Here are some photos of my belly growing:

14 weeks

16 weeks

18 weeks

 19 weeks

I'm currently feeling great, just tired all of the time (which is very difficult when you're packing to move across the country). My feet swell from just standing and doing the dishes and all I want to eat is ice cream, pretzels from the pretzelmaker and TONS of milk. The only thing that I still have a hard time even looking at is marinara sauce. It just makes me sick. I guess I'll just have to wait until the baby comes before I have spaghetti again. :) It's so crazy to see the size of my belly in the morning and then see it at night. I swear it doubles in size!!

I finally felt the baby kick this week!! I have been waiting and hoping for weeks that I would feel her. Jeremy was actually the first to feel it because I thought I felt something, but wasn't sure. I had him feel my stomach to see if he could feel what it was and then suddenly she kicked him! Ever since then, I can feel her moving around at night time, and it's the best feeling in the world.

We found out this last Thursday that we are having a GIRL!! I'm so excited! I thought it was a girl for quite a while and Jeremy thought it was a boy. Jeremy said that while we were in the ultrasound, he suddenly just knew it was a girl before the Doctor even said it.

The best part is that she's completely healthy! It was surprising at how many things they can tell from an ultrasound. This entire time I've been hoping that the baby would be "healthy", but until the Doctor started naming off all of the problems that my baby didn't have, I was surprised at how many things could have happened.

We're so, so grateful that she's completely healthy. She's still on track for a Sept. 25th due date and I can hardly wait! Here is an ultrasound that we got at the Doctor's office.

Daniela's Baptism

My cute oldest niece Daniela got baptized recently. It was so great! Her mom, Indi, and my mom spoke and my sister, Jena, made a video of Daniela's life. It was so sweet to see how happy Daniela was. I'm so excited for her and am so happy that some of my family could come together for it.

Spring Break

In March, Jeremy and I went down to Southern Utah for his Spring Break. We went to Gunnison for one day to go fourwheeling and shooting with some of Jeremy's friends, and then drove to Cassie's house in Kanab that night. We stayed at her house for a few days and it was so fun to see them! We went shooting (again) and played with our niece Kinley quite a bit. She's so adorable. Kanab is such an awesome place! I hope to live somewhere similar one day.

We later went to St. George for a few days. We went hiking around in Snow Canyon, which was really fun, because we had both been there about 30 times, but we had never been on an actual hike since we were usually caving.

Turns out, hiking when you're pregnant is incredibly difficult.. especially in the heat. Luckily, we found this cool little cave at the top of a hill. It was an awesome view and was cold. We sat here for  a while which was really fun.

After we spent a while just hanging out at the pool at the hotel, which was exactly what I wanted. It was during the week day, so there wasn't anyone there but us. Later that night, we went to see my best friend, Nicole, because she just had a baby boy and then walked around the temple. It was perfect!

On the morning that we were heading back to Salt Lake City, we decided to grab some bagels and chocolate milk from Harmon's... for old times sake, and then stop by Dixie Rock.

I love vacations with Jeremy, because they are just so exciting and fun. I can't wait to bring our little baby around with us.
