Fall Hiking

We had such a fun fall season! Jeremy had to work every Saturday, so we designated Wednesday as our "hiking day". It was great because nobody else was out on the trails and there wasn't much traffic. We went on hikes up big and little cottonwood canyon, and some on the bonneville shoreline trail. It was sad to see the snow fall because we knew we'd have to wait a while until we could take Taylor out again. We are already picking out hikes up north that we can check out when it warms up again.

Turkey Shoot

Jeremy and I were so excited for this year's Turkey Shoot because we had to miss the prior year's turkey shoot since Taylor was born just a few short weeks earlier. We went up to Ashton two days before the turkey shoot to practice. Taylor just sat in our arms and loved watching everyone shoot. We played a few rounds of "Annie Oakley" and had a great time.

While we were in Idaho, Rachelle cut Taylor's hair for the first time. We let her watch some fun stuff on Rachelle's phone and she did so great! She looked so much older afterward.

The night before the Turkey Shoot, Taylor got pretty sick. She threw up in the middle of the night (for the first time ever), so we didn't go shoot. Instead, we spent the day trying to catch up on lost sleep. Jeremy was laying with Taylor on the bed and I was so happy I was able to capture it. He is just the best dad.

On the way home from Idaho, Taylor was getting very restless. At a rest stop, we let her sit up front to play for a bit. She was so excited that we let her play with the steering wheel.

Hopefully, we're able to make it to the actual turkey shoot in 2017, but with two kids!

Taylor's Birthday Party

Taylor had her first birthday party at my mom and dad's house. My siblings brought their children and we had a great time. Her birthday theme was "our little pumpkin is turning one." We all ate dinner, ate cake, watched Taylor smash her cake, painted pumpkins and opened presents.

She kept trying to touch the candle instead of blowing it out. I had to do it for her.

She wanted to share it with Daddy.

She loved opening her presents! She go new books, stuffed animals, a toy dog, clothes, a piggy bank, an Elmo doll, and plenty of other toys!

The kids really liked painting pumpkins. Taylor thought it was pretty cool too. I wrote her name on it, and then just let her smear the paint all over it.

All in all, it was a great birthday party! By the end of it, Taylor was so tired! We're so grateful for all the love that was shown to her.
