Valentines Day

I love Valentines Day! I was so happy that it was on a Sunday so Jeremy could be home with Taylor and I. Luckily, I was able to get some photos of Taylor in her Valentine's Day outfit before she had a blowout (which is turning into a trend around here.) Jeremy and I decided to go out for a drive around the Draper temple and it was so fun! We went on drives basically every night while we were in Tennessee to go discover new lakes, parks, etc. and it's hard to want to do that when we're so familiar with this area. So, it was fun to go see some new areas.

Superbowl

We went to my parents house for Superbowl weekend and had a blast! On Saturday, we rented a snowmobile to play around on. We spent a few hours riding on it and took Taylor out to watch. She wasn't as interested as I was anticipating, but it was still fun.

We also fed Taylor some solid foods for the first time while we were there. We mashed up some bananas, and she seemed to enjoy them. She was kind of tired, so shortly after, she got pretty upset. We've given her more since then, and she likes them.

Lately

I feel like time is just flying by! Jeremy is keeping busy with school and work. He's really excited to graduate in May! He's looking for jobs right now, and we're both so excited to see where we'll be going (crossing our fingers it is somewhere near Utah).

I quit my job last month to be a stay at home mom with Taylor and it's been great! It was hard in the beginning because I was just so used to being busy all the time, and it just changed so quickly. I'm so grateful that I have the opportunity to be home with her to watch each and every little thing she does!

Lately, Taylor likes to ram her face into Jeremy's or mine when she cuddles. It's the cutest thing. She also loves to rub faces when she goes to sleep. She is a HUGE cuddler and I just love it! Jeremy is the cutest Dad. He always kisses her goodbye in the morning when he leaves for school. She is always sleeping when he leaves, so he has to wait until he gets home to play with her. Taylor LOVES Jeremy. When he gets home, she gets a big smile on her face and she's ready to play.

Taylor is now wearing 9 month clothing. We were gearing up to go shopping and then we received a fun package from Grandma Hillam with a bunch of clothing in a Valentines bag. It was absolutely perfect timing because she had just started fitting into that size.

Taylor is 4 Months Old

Taylor is growing and learning so fast! At her 4 month appointment she weighed in at 17 pounds and 5 oz, which puts her in the 99th percentile. She's also 25.2 inches long, which is in the 84th percentile. She's a big girl and I love it! She's learned so much this month and has reached a few milestones:
  • She rolled over on Feb. 2nd from her stomach to back. She did it twice in a row, and she seemed to be happy about it. She rolled over today from her back to her stomach for the first time, but other than that, she hasn't been super interested.
  • She tried solids for the first time on Feb. 7th. We gave her some bananas and she liked them!
  • She found her hands and is pretty obsessed with her feet.
  • She kisses Jeremy and I, and it's pretty adorable! When she hasn't been held by one of us for a bit, she'll kiss/lick our faces when we pick her up.
  • She's getting better at sleeping. She usually goes to bed at 8:30 every night (which is a big change from midnight), and then sleeps 12 hours. She still wakes up about 3 times in that time period, but not for long.
  • She loves:
    • Jeremy and I, her grandparents, Minnie Mouse, her hands/feet, sitting in the bumbo, walking outside, cuddling, kicking, tummy time, binky at bed time, talking, laughing, smiling and sucking on her hands.
  • She's getting really great at grabbing objects
  • She's so close to sitting up by herself!
