Taylor is Two Months Old

Taylor was 13lbs 4 oz. (94th percentile) and 23.23 inches long (79th percentile) at her 2 month appointment. She's such a great baby! She's had a lot going on this month. We drove up to Montana for Jeremy's Uncle's funeral and she did really well. She also got a cold for the first time. She did pretty well, but she had a really bad sore throat, so she had a little bit of a hard time eating. We had her take a bottle for the first time to see if it would help, and it did! She's now used a bottle a few times and she seems to like it, but she's confused how Jeremy can give it to her haha.

She got her 2 month shots and it was the saddest thing to watch. They gave her two shots in her right leg and one in her left. When they put the needles in, she held her breath because of the shock. When she started breathing, she just started crying. It wasn't her regular cry, it was such a sad cry. I held her and she only cried for a few more minutes and then she fell asleep. She slept for almost 4 hours (which isn't like her during the day), and when she woke up her poor legs were so sore. When she tried to move them, she would just cry. Luckily, she was going in and out of sleep, so Jeremy was moving her legs a lot while she slept and that seemed to help. That night, she got a little fever (about 100 degrees), and the doctor told us to give her some tylenol. It was such a great thing too, because we gave her a bath after and she seemed to be back to her normal self. I'm already dreading getting her other shots at 4 and 6 months.

Just a few things about her:
  • She smiles so much! I can almost always get her to smile when I stick my tongue out at her.
  • She loves when you sing to her.
  • She loves to be held.
  • She loves to kick! When you change her diaper she'll kick like crazy!
  • She's been sleeping really well. She sleeps about 6 hours at night before she wakes up now.
  • She eats about every 2 hours. She's one hungry girl!
  • She's was still in 3 month clothing, but they were getting pretty tight. She has a pair of 6 month pajamas that she's able to wear now. She's now in size 2 diapers.
  • She also has a little toy that allows her to play the piano with her feet. She really likes it. Two times she's been playing the piano when either Jeremy or myself walked into the room and she just stops playing and stares at us. When we walk out of the room she'll start playing again. It's absolutely hilarious.
  • She likes to grab things with her toes and she gets so much lint between them!
  • She discovered splashing in the bath. She loves it and it's so adorable!
